Almost 2 and a half months into my 101/1001 challenge!
I’ve completed 7 challenges. The most recent one was not logging into Facebook for a week while we were on vacation in San Diego.
I’ve read 10 books out of the 100 I’m shooting for goal #2. I’ve read: The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen (the TV series Rizzoli & Isles is based on this book series), I Feel Bad about My Neck: And Other Thoughts about Being a Woman by Nora Ephron (which was a little too simplistic and negative for me), The Apprentice by Tess Gerritsen (Book 2 of the series), Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously (the movie was much better, surprisingly), The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (read during my day of jury duty), and My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I’ve been powering through books lately, and it feels good.
Still working on baking something new every month (#22). In August, I made Dark Cherry Bundt cake that was pretty tasty. Last week I made Plum Tea bread, which was more cake-like, and okay. So September has been taken care of for this goal.
I still need to send my 1st Postcrossing card (#27), am still paying off my credit card debt slowly but surely (#28), and haven’t had time to work more on digital scrapbooking (#29). I’m still working on PuzzleQuest, so working on beating that game (goal #52).
My pool on Bookswim (which is where I rent my books from) is approaching 100, so it’s pretty much my work-in-progress for the list of 100 books I want to read (goal #67). Kevin and I are still going through all the James Bond movies. We’re up to 13 out of the 22 for me. Live and Let Die is waiting at home from Netflix, so will make some more headway soon on goal #72.
The goal I’m working the hardest on, I think, is walking 10,000 steps each weekday for a month. I’m on week 4 this week, I’m so proud of myself! I’m definitely going to keep this up even once the month is up.
So 7/101 complete, 10/101 in progress. I think I’m making good headway on getting through all 101 in the 1001 days!
